Evil Circle Foot & 6!

Monday, January 28th, 2008

Just because I know this will annoy people to no end, I’m posting this. It will frustrate you, and you will lose time at work and proably your job too. You will dedicate your life to figuring out how to do this… It’s that annoying.

Menuism

Sunday, July 15th, 2007

There’s a relatively new social site I’ve started using called Menuism. The idea is that anyone and everyone can share and rate a restaurant experience. A good way to find new food spots. And since I love food, I need to know where these places are! :)

Common - The Game

Saturday, July 14th, 2007

This track “The Game” off of Common’s upcoming album called Finding Forever. This track is banging. It to me sounds completely like a DJ Premier track (he does the scratches on it for the hook) but is produced by Kanye West. I can’t wait for this album, check out this single.

Pixar’s Ratatouille

Wednesday, July 4th, 2007

I finally had a chance to get out and see a movie in the theatre. I took my daughter Yasmina to see Pixar’s new film Ratatouille. I actually had high hopes for this film, I think Brad Bird is fantastic and have yet to be disappointed by his other works.

Let me say this, Ratatouille is amazing.

Certain movies make me happy to be working in Film, this is one of those movies. Pixar again reminds me why they, when at their best, are the absolute best in the business by a very significant margin. There is so much subtlety in their work, they are perfectionists and that is something that I share; I appreciate few things more than seeing others attempt to reach that lofty goal and get close. To me, Ratatouille is right up their with the best of Pixar.

It’s hard for me to come up with a definitive list of favourites among Pixar films, to do that I’d probably have to see them again in close succession. My least favourite Pixar film is Cars, and Bugs Life. Even at their “worst” they are far better than most. I can’t wait to own this on in HD,

Also, since I’m living in America now, Happy 4th of July!

UFC 69 - Shocker!

Sunday, April 8th, 2007

Hot damn! My boy GSP went down against Matt Serra. I thought this might be a lot tougher of a fight than people were giving Serra credit for, but damn! I didn’t think he’d pull out a win against Georges!

Wow. I’m still stunned. I was elated after watching Koscheck beat Sanchez (giddy actually, Sanchez annoys the hell out of me). After seeing Diego Sanchez shove Josh Koscheck at the weigh-ins, I had even less respect for him. Don’t get me wrong, I think he’s a good fighter, I just don’t like him much. Koscheck on the other hand, he reminds me of GSP. He’s fast, athletic and is fun to watch. I was hoping to see a GSP vs Koscheck title match, but I guess that will have to wait now. Doh!

I’m sure GSP will bounce back and find the same hunger and drive that led him to rip through his competition.

Congratulations to Matt Serra though, he beat the champ and deserves the belt. Enjoy it until Georges “Rush” St. Pierre comes to take it back!

I love MMA.

Rainbow 6 - Vegas: My character

Friday, March 23rd, 2007
So I’m a bit of geek? Yeah, alright, I’ll take that! Is that my face mapped onto a character in the game? Yes it is. So I’m a geek, but I’m a geek with a personal online dude! Oh yeah!

If you have an xbox360, and the webcam that comes with it, certain games let you use it, Rainbow6-Vegas is one such game.

Pure brilliance!

Nordin’s Musical Creations

Wednesday, March 21st, 2007

I noticed today that my old pre-wordpress page of music was no longer available (which may have been a good thing? lol) so I found it and am making it an official post. No need hiding the page with a timestamp of when it was actually made (2002 I think), I’ll just post it as something “new”.

On to the original post…

Meet the Robinsons - 3D Stereoscopic explained

Wednesday, March 14th, 2007

I came across this on YouTube (don’t you love that site?). My friend Phil “Captain 3D” McNally who is the CG Stereoscopic Supervisor at Disney Feature Animation. Phil approved (or kicked back) the shots I approved at Digital Domain and sent to Disney. This video features Phil explaining just what stereoscopic is! Check it out.
